Kinesiologist

The Person

I am a positive person with a passion for physical activity. In my childhood and adolescence, I had the chance to practice many sports on a regular basis and thus integrate the practice of physical activity in my life habits. Being a high achiever and demanding of myself, I have always had to deal with a high level of stress and anxiety. I quickly discovered that physical activity was a very effective way to help me channel this stress and reduce the negative impact it could have on my well-being. Of course, life being what it is, this strategy was not always enough to prevent more difficult episodes, but this habit, which was anchored in my daily life, always allowed me to get back on track more quickly. This passion for mental health stems, in part, from my own personal experiences with life challenges. I am also a nature lover and like using the outdoor environment for physical activity. I am a people person and love to build trust with those around me. To this day, I still stick to my habits with regular training and working in a functional training club, as well as doing a multitude of outdoor activities in my free time. A day without moving is almost impossible with me.

The Kinesiologist

Guided by my love for physical activity, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Montreal in 2010. I worked as a private trainer in a fitness center for almost 3 years. Through this, I also worked in a Chiropractic clinic where I was a kinesiologist. I also did private training at home. Life eventually led me to look for a stable schedule for my family and that is how I ended up in the world of disability insurance. I first worked as a disability case manager for 7 years, after which I had the opportunity to work as a rehabilitation counsultant for 4 years. In this role, I acquired valuable skills and knowledge to help and equip people with disabilities, but also to develop trusting relationships with the people under my care. The disability cases I managed were mostly complex mental health cases, and I discovered a passion for helping people with these difficulties. I then focused most of my continuing education on mental health intervention and finally began a Master's degree in mental health. Being passionate about helping people, I decided to get even closer to my patients and to provide them with even more regular support. I took the initiative to develop my private practice, being convinced that I could bring much more to these people living with difficulties.

Although I specialize in rehabilitation, mentaland physical, I am also fully comfortable coaching people who simply want to take control of their overall health. I can definitely help you change and integrate better lifestyle habits.
